Total Cup®
A new drinking cup designed to reduce the risk of choking for individuals with dysphagia (swallowing difficulties).
Developed based on practical experience and scientific knowledge. For dysphagia, the maximum recommended sip size is 20 milliliters.
The cup features a modular design: it can be used with or without the flow-control insert (which includes a drinking aperture) and with one, two, or no handles.
A 200 ml fill line is indicated on the cup when the flow-control insert is used.
The wide drinking rim allows the nose to fit inside the cup while drinking, eliminating the need to tilt the head backward.
Benefits of the TOTAL CUP®:
- Sip volume options of 5 ml, 10 ml, 15 ml, or 20 ml
- Drinking rim that fits comfortably against the lips
- Promotes independence
- Encourages use through visual feedback
- 200 ml capacity
- Lightweight: weighs only 166 grams
- Total Cup® components
- Fill line indicator for use with the insert
- Insert markings for optimal positioning of the drinking aperture
- Handles with shape indicators for correct placement
- Durable and impact-resistant
- Dishwasher-safe
- Microwave-safe
Swallowing is easier when you do not have to tilt your head backward. Possible solutions include a nose-cutout cup or an angled cup. However, a discreet funnel-shaped or conical cup is the best alternative: it is less conspicuous, and it is impossible to hold incorrectly.
